Prices & quotes

How much does driveway cleaning cost in Teesside?

£3 to £6/m² for most surfaces, £90 to £250 for a typical two-car drive. Resin is £2 to £4/m², sealing adds £5 to £8/m², and commercial forecourts are quoted per job after a site visit.

Is the quote really free?

Yes: the drive is assessed properly, the work is priced in writing, and you decide in your own time.

Why did my neighbour pay less?

Surface, size and condition: a small resin drive is simply less work than a large moss-bound block-paved one. The written quote shows what yours involves.

Are extras ever added without asking?

No: oil treatment, black spot removal and sealing are itemised separately in writing before work starts. Your call, no pressure.

Surfaces & damage

Will cleaning damage my block paving?

Not with a rotary surface cleaner at controlled pressure. The damage stories come from lances at close range, which pit blocks and leave stripes. Re-sanding afterwards is part of the job.

Can you clean tarmac without scarring it?

Yes: moss is killed chemically first, then the surface is washed at reduced pressure with the lance kept moving. Full pressure on tarmac strips the binder, which is exactly what we avoid.

Is resin safe to pressure wash?

Only gently. A fan jet at low pressure is safe; a concentrated lance breaks the bond between stone and resin. Low pressure with treatment doing the work is the correct method.

What is the white bloom on imprinted concrete?

Moisture trapped under the sealer. Minor cases can be re-emulsified; severe ones need the sealer stripped and re-applied. It is why sealing is only done bone dry.

Teesside specifics

My drive is north-facing and always green. What helps?

A biocide treatment after cleaning keeps algae back for a year or more, and sealing block paving stretches it further. Without treatment, shaded Teesside drives green up again within months.

Do you work near the coast?

Yes. Salt air weathers block faces faster around Redcar and Seaton Carew, so sealing after cleaning earns its keep sooner on coastal drives.

Do you take commercial work?

Yes: forecourts, car parks, pub and hotel entrances, retail units and yards, quoted per job with out-of-hours working available.

Can oil stains be removed completely?

Fresh oil lifts well with degreaser. Old oil soaked deep into porous blocks improves significantly but can shadow, and an honest quote tells you which you have before work starts.
